NUMBER GAMES

Place Value - Place Value Basketball A game that uses representatives for tens and ones. Children in year 2 are required to know these up to 100. Feel free to use numbers up to 999 if this is not challenging enough. This game is free and can be played on phones, tablets or computers.

Times tables - Hit the Button A game to develop quick and fluent mental multiplication/division and number bonds. This game is free and can be played on an internet browser on phones, tablets and computers.

Coconut Ordering In this game children order the coconuts in size. In year 2 we work with numbers up to 100. This game can be played on laptops, phones and tablets.

MEASURING GAMES

Capacity Countdown In this game children read the scales on the rocket ships. Best option/level to play on is the 2nd (100ml), 3rd (50ml) or 4th (10ml) for year 2 level. This game can be played on laptops, phones and tablets.

Telling the Time (SCROLL DOWN TO FIND GAME AFTER CLICKING LINK) In this game children tell the time on an analogue clock. Children in year 2 need to be able to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes. Levels 1-4 are best for year 2. This game can be played on laptops, tablets and phones.

Measuring in CM This is a game where children measure different objects. They can drag a pointer to the edge of the object to help them with the answer. Level 1 is best for year 2. Children can play level 3 but you may need to explain to them the 0.5. This game can be played on tablets, phones and laptops.
