Rhythm and Rhyme 

  • Join in with nursery rhymes and repetitive story phrases.
  • Move in time to a beat - fast, slow, clapping, marching.
  • Sort objects into rhyming sets e.g. bat, mat, cat, hat /  van, man, can
  • Play rhyming bingo, rhyming pairs games and complete rhyming puzzles.
  • Continue a spoken rhyming string e.g. bat, mat , cat, chat , ? (nonsense words are absolutely fine to include too!)
  • Identify the 'odd one out' (non rhyming word in the set) e.g. leg, peg, dog.
