At Gateford Park Primary School, we know that educational visits, residential trips and visitors to school are powerful, positive teaching tools that help enhance the social, personal and emotional development of all learners.
These activities provide excellent opportunities for ‘learning by doing’ and encourage our children to engage with people, places and buildings in new ways.
Learning beyond the classroom is rewarding and enriching for both teachers and pupils alike.
At Gateford Park Primary School we provide a rich and varied programme of visits, residential trips and visitors, which, in addition to enriching their learning, help to give our children first hand experiences of communities beyond our own. More can be learned about these through our half termly newsletters, class pages on the website and by speaking with class teachers. Our team leader for Educational Visits, Residential Trips and visitors to school is Diane Blackman and the link governor is Simon McGill.
