Pupil Parliament

We are Gateford Park's Pupil Parliament!

Our new Pupil Parliament is made up of children throughout the school who applied for this important role. They gave a short speech in front of their class, highlighting why they wanted to be involved and why they thought they would be a good Member of Pupil Parliament (MPP). Our MPPs were then democratically voted in by the rest of the children in their class using polling booths.

Here at The Parliament we take our role in school extremely seriously. We are, in fact, the 'Pupil Voice'. We meet as a whole Pupil Parliament fortnightly with Miss Lembo and Miss Singh-Bhatti to discuss and make important decisions to benefit our school and the children that learn and have fun here.

Our Members of Pupil Parliament (MPPs) are:

Y1- Alfie and Molly
Y2- Henry and Sebastian
Y3- Jayden and Kitty
Y4- Ceryn and Theron
Y5- Freddie and Emma
Y6- Samanta and Ellis

Later in the year we will be holding UK parliament week in school. This will be 12th - 18th November. We have decided on an activity for each day and we put a timetable together. More details to follow!

Two members of our Pupil Parliament are also members of Worksop Junior Council. They meet with other schools at Worksop Town Hall to discuss key issues.

Keep an eye on our page to see what we have been up to!
