Gateford Park children bounced their ways to raising a great total for the PTFA!
The children had a fantastic time being bouncing bunnies. All of the classes had a turn on the bouncy castle in the hall, keeping fit and healthy whilst raising a magnificent £880 for the PTFA.
All of the money that the PTFA raises goes to support little extras for the children in school and their hard work and the generosity of our community never ceases to amaze us! Thank you!
The PTFA is always on the look out for people who have a little time to spare to help to raise funds for the children. Why not come along to the Annual General Meeting on to see how you can help! Hope to see you there!
Have you seen the new Gateford village road signs that have been installed as part of the County Council's Local Improvement Scheme?
A few months ago, Cllr. Sybil Fielding invited all of the schools to submit work that might be used on the new signs. We were thrilled to hear that Ben M., Harry T. and Hayden G.'s work had been chosen and now is on display for thousands of people to see, every day, for decades to come.
We are sure that you will agree that the new sign shows everyone that Gateford is a great place to be! Well done, Team GP!
After a fantastic day of fun and everyone working together, we are delighted to let you know that a grand total of £577.08 was raised for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day 2013. Brilliant!
With the 80s Danceathon, Gangnam Endurance, Harlem Shaking, Coffee and Cakes from the PTFA, teddy raffles and cake sales organised by the children, help from our friends at Puddleducks Preschool and a hair-raising experience for Mr. Letton and Mr. Harrison, your generous donations mean that we have helped to make people's lives better both in the UK and abroad.
Information about the great work that Comic Relief does can be found by clicking here.
Today has been World Book Day with a 'Bedtime Story' theThe children, staff and volunteers wore their PJ's and onesies with pride!!
It was fantastic to see so many of our children and their grown-ups engrossed in writing stories, making books and reading together in the hall this afternoon. We're not sure who had the most fun...the grown ups or the children!!
Thank you SO much to our mums, dads, carers, grandmas, grandads, aunties, uncles, cousins and childminders for coming along and making today's event such a huge success. It was overwhelming to see so many of you at our school. It really was a perfect example of 'Excellence and Enjoyment for All'.
Thank you also to our fantastic PTFA, who did a wonderful job providing us with 'bedtime' beverages!
Events such as this are a fantastic way to engage in your children's learning and have fun at the same time. We really appreciate your support and look forward to hosting even bigger and better events in the future.
Don't worry if you were unable to join us today, there will be many more opportunities. If you have any suggestions or ideas for family learning, then please jot them down and put them in the suggestion box on the 'Parent Partnership' board in the main reception area.
Together, we make Gateford Park Primary School an even better place to be. me.
