Welcome to Gnome Class

Welcome to the summer term in Gnome Class!

Our topic is called Why Do Spiders Eat Flies? We will be learning about minibeasts, habitats, and life cycles. We even have a lady coming to make a wormery with us and we have ladybirds and caterpillars on the way!

Diary Dates:

• Our trip to Sherwood Pines is on Wednesday 17^th June.

• Our Ugly Bug Ball is on Friday 17^th July. Please could all children come dressed as a minibeast that day. They can wear a costume, a mask or face paint. We look forward to seeing all the beautiful bugs!

• Our EYFS Graduation will take place on Monday 20^th July at 2pm.

• Please look out for school’s Maths Money Week, commencing 29^th June. There will be events for you to join us in school to share our learning.

• Sports Day is on Friday 3^rd July – more details to follow.

This term we will have 2 PE sessions - one on a Monday and one on Tuesday.

We always welcome volunteers to come and help us in Gnome class, so if you would like to come and see what we do please see a member of staff. Whether you are a mum, dad, carer, grandparent, auntie or uncle, you are all welcome! We hope to see you soon!

• All snack money is to be given to staff on a Monday morning with a completed slip saying what your child is having each day.
• PE is on a Monday afternoon and a Tuesday morning - we are doing Sure Tots until the end of June.
• Although we will change them during the week you are welcome to change reading books with your child in a morning or after school.
• Reading Rockets and Spelling Rockets will be changed on a Wednesday/Thursday.
