Geoff Young - Co-opted Governor (Chair)
Hi, I'm Geoff Young, Co-Opted Governor at Gateford Park Primary School for many years now. I am Chair of the whole Governing Body and am also Chair of the Finance Committee.
I am a General Manager for World Fuel Services Corporation, an American based company which
engages in the distribution of fuel, and related products and services in the aviation, marine, and land transportation industries worldwide.
I have four children, one in his final year at University, two in sales management and one who works in higher education.
I am an avid sports fan and played both football and cricket at a high level. I still play golf on a regular basis. I hope that I bring to the Governing body team, commercial acumen with over thirty-five years in the logistics sector, twenty at Director level. I am passionate about children receiving the best education that we can possibly provide them in both a disciplined and enjoyable environment. It is a pleasure to work with such a fabulous school with amazing children and a first class staff and a supportive team of Governors.
