We are very excited to launch our new weekly Gateford Park Food Hub, which Mrs Spencer has been working hard to organise behind the scenes for several months.

The Food Hub is not about poverty—it is about preventing perfectly good food from going to waste, while bringing our school community together.

The principle is simple:

🛍️ Fill a bag with food!

Each week, there will be a changing selection of food available, including a mixture of protein, store-cupboard essentials and fresh food. Just bring a bag with you—but don’t worry if you forget, as we’ll have some spares!

Our first Food Hub will take place on this coming Thursday from 2.45–4pm, with the school gates opening early. To celebrate the launch, we are doubling it up as a little welcome-back-to-school community celebration!

Chef Lou will be baking cookies for everyone, so please come along, fill a bag, enjoy a cookie and say hello. 🍪
