  • Worried about a child?

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please speak to us. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong – if something does not feel right, it is important to share your concern.

If your concern relates to a child at Gateford Park Primary School, please contact the school office and ask to speak to a member of our Designated Safeguarding Team. We will listen to your concerns, take them seriously and take appropriate action to help keep the child safe.

You can also report a concern directly to Nottinghamshire Children’s Services:

    0300 500 80 80

Outside normal working hours, contact the Emergency Duty Team:

    0300 456 4546

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

You can also contact the NSPCC Helpline for advice if you are worried about a child:

    0808 800 5000

Children and young people can contact Childline free of charge on:

    0800 1111

Please remember: it is always better to share a concern than to stay silent. You will never be criticised for raising a genuine worry about a child’s safety or wellbeing.
