In September 2013, all maintained and state-funded primary schools were allocated additional funding from the Government, to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.
As a school, we are committed to ensuring that all children are given high quality PE lessons, giving them opportunities to try a range of new sports, and create an atmosphere that promotes the enjoyment and celebration of sport, P.E. and being active.
The school identified 3 key areas as priorities during 2014/15:
- The use of a Sports Coach and Dance Teacher to work with teachers to develop their skills in teaching PE throughout the school.
- Improve sports facilities through the installation of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
- Further developing a positive climate that promotes an active lifestyle and celebrates all of our children’s sporting achievements.
